What is REAPS?  

The Real Estate Association of Puget Sound (REAPS) was established in 1983 and is a non-profit Professional Association for real estate investors run by volunteers.  REAPS is the oldest – and largest – REIA in the northwestern United States.  We provide educational and networking resources for real estate investors, those who want to be investors and anyone who provides value to our members. We meet the fourth Thursday of most months (third Thursday in November) at Lake Washington Technical College in Kirkland and have additional meetings up and down Western Washington throughout the month.

We are firmly committed to promoting a sound understanding of real estate investing principles and to help further develop our members’ investing abilities.

Our goals are to motivate and support our members and guests through education, discussion, legislative action and networking. REAPS presents one or more well-informed speakers at each monthly meeting. Subjects cover all aspects of real estate including but not limited to: foreclosures, paper/notes, fixers, lease/options, property tax appeal processes, 203k loan program, property management techniques, estate planning, VA/HUD government programs, government auctions, real estate inspection techniques, property assessment techniques, mortgage shopping techniques, eviction procedures, processing information on new tenants, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, financing resources and much, much more.

In addition to providing a strong background in real estate investing, REAPS is committed to providing member benefits that add value to our members through discounts and putting more money in our members’ pockets.

Members receive discounts from local service providers such as lawyers and closing agents and national discounts from providers such as paint, hardware, lumber, insurance, rental car, document couriers and more.
